Open GL Periods in Oracle general ledger to fix invalid period issue

Open GL Period to fix invalid period error

To fix errors like invalid period, period has not opened / not future enterable or period has not defined in oracle general ledger, we should define and open period in GL.

Steps to define or open period in Oracle General Ledger-

First define period from Payables Manager responsibility.

Otherwise 'Open Period' program will get errored out with below error-
OOAP0010: Please define Calendar Periods before opening them.

Setup> Periods
Save and validate calender

Log in to Oracle application with general ledger superuser responsibility.

Setup > Open/Close

By clicking on Open next period , you can open next period.
Please click on it, you will see prompt to confirm, select yes.


















then concurrent request 'Open Period ' will get launched.

After completion of this request , open above form again from navigation, you will find that period has opened.

Open or close period in Oracle general ledger-
By clicking on LOV of status column against open/close period, you can open period which has closed or you can close period which has opened.
